Patrick BRANDMAIER
General Director of the franco-german chamber of commerce and industry
Since June 2019, Patrick Brandmaier has been General Manager of the Franco-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Paris.
After studying "International Business Administration" at the Universities of Marburg and Vienna including periods of study abroad in the United States and France, he began his professional career in 1997 with the Siemens company in Munich.
After more than 20 years in various management positions at Siemens in Germany, France and Norway, the Karlsruhe native left Oslo to settle in the French capital.
Patrick Brandmaier has been linked to France for more than 25 years through his studies, his professional experience and his family situation and lives with both cultures on a daily basis. The Franco-German relationship has influenced him in his professional and private life and thus predestined him for his new position at the Franco-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
According to him, "Recent developments between our two countries and in Europe clearly illustrate the importance of a close, open and partnership-based cooperation in the political, economic and societal fields between Germany and France."
