Fabienne KELLER
Member of the European Parliament
Fabienne KELLER is an engineer, graduated from the Ecole Polytechnique and the University of Berkeley (California).
She began her professional career at the Ministry of Agriculture and then at the Ministry of Finance, before moving to the private sector and joining the Crédit Industriel d'Alsace et Lorraine.
Her political involvement began in the Neudorf district of Strasbourg, where she was elected as a departmental councillor, then as a regional councillor. She was the first woman to sit on the Bas-Rhin General Council.
In 2001, Fabienne KELLER was elected Mayor of Strasbourg until 2008. Her mandate was marked by the following achievements: Construction of the Zenith, the Malraux media library, redevelopment of the Place Kléber, redevelopment of the railway station in the context of the arrival of the TGV, etc.
In 2005 she was elected Senator for Bas-Rhin until May 2019 when she was elected Member of the European Parliament.
Today in the European Parliament, Fabienne KELLER is particularly involved in the Committee on Justice and Civil Liberties, as well as the Committee on Budgets. She works, among other things, on the protection of the rule of law in Europe and human rights, as well as on the issue of migration.
